At Architecture and Building Expo we will bring you 3 exciting Industry focused events that will take the form of Panel Discussions in the Conference Theatre on Thursday 4th November. These information exchange sessions will feature experts in discussion on crucial topics facing the Building industry today.
The early morning session is called “How BIM enables digitalisation and skills development”. While digitalisation of the construction process is now recognised as the way forward if we are to realise net zero energy and carbon buildings, BIM is the enabling tool that will make the transformation possible. However, as with all new processes and technologies, there is a learning curve for those involved. This panel discussion featuring experts from key construction disciplines will tease out the issues involved.
Lighting Association Ireland will have a major presence at the show with a unique lighting demonstration lighting up the exterior of the RDS; a lighting panel discussion between leading lighting experts and chaired by James Duff, who established and now heads up Arup’s lighting design business in Ireland; and a dedicated Lighting Pavilion featuring inter-active demonstration of smart lighting and innovation technologies.
“Ventilation, IAQ and wellbeing now more critical than ever” is the title of the early afternoon session. In many ways Covid-19 has been a pandemic of buildings and enclosed spaces. So, as we start to open up our places of work and gather again in numbers, what have we learnt? What’s next for buildings, building owners and building standards?
Simon Jones of Aereco will moderate a discussion of between leading ventilation experts and members of Ireland’s Expert Group on Ventilation, including Chairman Professor John Wenger.
