BENGglas is a tempered vacuum glass that has been newly introduced to the Irish market by Bolger Sash Windows. With the lowest U-value out of all types of insulating glass, BENGglas offers the best thermal insulation in the world. It’s U-value of 0.4 doesn’t decrease over the years, while it has a warranty period of 15 years, a tested lifespan of 25 years, and an expected lifespan of 50 years.
The applications for this ground-breaking glass are endless and include restoration, construction and industry projects. It is perfect for restoration projects due to the thinness of the glass and makes existing homes more sustainable.
Its noise reduction value of dB=36 and excellent insulation ensures it is ideal for new constructions using wood, plastic or aluminium. It is also five times stronger then untempered glass of the same thickness.
The range of options – from one, two or three slanted sides, triangles, circles, arches and more – means it can be used in all forms, from mechanical engineering to greenhouse construction to modular construction.
BENGglas comes in a range of sizes starting at a thickness of 6.3mm, rising to 20.3mm. There are also additional options of extra-clear, extra-sunproof, frosted, laminated and a dirt-resistant coating.
