The adjudication process for the RIAI Architecture Awards for 2020 is now underway but, due to the impact of Covid-19, the announcement of this year’s awards’ recipients has been deferred to the RIAI Conference which takes place on Thursday and Friday, 1 and 2 October in Main Hall, RDS. This will coincide with an exhibition of the shortlisted entries for the duration of the event.
Awards are made across a number of categories and time-frames, reflective of the breadth of architectural practice in Ireland while acting as a record of past and present change in the Irish built environment.
Founded in 1989, the RIAI Architecture Awards celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2019. As Ireland’s premier architecture awards, they recognise the quality of current work by RIAI Members at home and abroad and create awareness of the contribution that that great architecture makes to society.
We will have more updates on the RIAI Awards in forthcoming ezines but, in the meantime, put the dates in your diary.
