Stone Seal ‘Lovers Walk’ case study

11
Stone Seal contributes to a residence that celebrates individuality and defies traditional design norms, with a choice of polished concrete floors that bring durability and elegance.

Lover’s Walk in Cork is a reimagining of a 1970s house, where colours, textures and shapes intertwine to create an electric yet harmonious masterpiece. This project stands out for its unconventional approach, seamlessly combining vibrant colours with a diverse range of tactile materials. The interplay of layered elements within the space showcases a daring commitment to creative expression.

As a key collaborator in this project, Stone Seal installed locally-sourced polished concrete flooring throughout the residence. The choice of polished concrete was instrumental in grounding the rich visual language of the interiors while offering a sleek, modern contrast to the vibrant colours and textures. The floors bring durability and elegance, enhancing the home’s aesthetic, while also providing a smooth, reflective surface that plays with natural and artificial light.

Stone Seal is committed to providing eco-conscious, durable surfaces, and this project was a testament to that philosophy. The polished concrete not only complements the bold architectural vision, but also ensures resilience and ease of maintenance, offering a perfect blend of form and function. As lovers of design innovation, Stone Seal is thrilled to have contributed to a residence that celebrates individuality and defies traditional design norms.
